LAST EXHIBIT

A pixel game we made at school. You run a museum and fill it with things you steal from the past. It's free.

What is this?

You're David. You bought an old museum that's about to go bankrupt, and behind a wall in the basement there's a time machine.

At night you jump into the past (1965, 1943, 1600 or around 1200), grab whatever you can carry and get out before your 60 seconds run out. If you die there, you lose everything you picked up that night.

During the day you put your loot in the showcases and visitors pay to see it. With the money you unlock more years. At some point there's a knight in a castle who really doesn't want you there.

The levels

This is the map from the time machine in the game. Click the pins.

Going to 1965. You get 60 seconds.

Stuff to steal here:

1965

Soviet Union

Stuff you can steal

All 35 artifacts in the game. The number is what the museum thinks it's worth. Click one.

Your phone

In the game you open it with P. It has the shop where you unlock new levels, your bank, your museum's stats, a darknet app and Flappy Bird. You can click around on this one too.

The darknet app costs 500 coins in the game. You sell artifacts there for bitcoin and buy stuff that helps you survive the next night:

    Music

Alex made all 15 tracks. Every level has one for sneaking around and one for the boss. The Inca ones are already done even though the level isn't.

      Installing

We didn't pay for code signing, so Windows and macOS will warn you the first time you open it. That's normal.

      1. Unzip it. LastExhibit.exe and LastExhibit.pck have to stay in the same folder.
      2. Open LastExhibit.exe. If a blue "Windows protected your PC" box shows up, click More info and then Run anyway.

      Other questions

      Does it cost anything?
      No. It's a school project.
Will it run on my laptop?
Probably. It uses Godot's simple renderer, so anything with OpenGL 3.3 should work. The browser version needs WebGL 2.
      Phone?
      No, you need a keyboard.
      German?
The game is only in English for now.
